An Insight into Tawaf

Among the practices of Umrah, Tawaf is an essential part. As believed, the inspiration and the act of Ihraam is the first attainment of the pilgrim. Right after assuming the aspects of Ihraam, the Tawaf, or wuquf is the next step, but it solely depends on the intention with which the pilgrim assumes Ihraam. If the pilgrim attains Umrah, then next step is tawaf. With Umrah Packages 2017 our Umrah will surely be a blessed one.

Nevertheless, if the purpose of Ihraam is only Hajj, as in the case of Hajj al-ifrad or those who wish to perform the Hajj al-tamattu after getting through the acts of Umrah, the second important step is wuquf in Arafat.

Kinds of Umrah in View of Ahl al-Sunnah:

Tawaf al-Qudum or 'the arrival'

Tawaf al-Ziyarah

This tawaf is undertaken by Hajjpilgrims after getting pass the acts of Mina, performing the ramy of jamarat al-aqabah, the sacrifice and the halq or the taqsir. The pilgrim performs this tawaf on returning to Makkah. This act is called tawaf al-ziyarah as it is performed while visiting the Kaaba right after the Mina and also called tawaf al-ifadah as the pilgrims pour out into Makkah right from the Mina (tents). It is also called `tawaf al-hajj' because by harmony of all the schools it is rukn of the Hajj.

After the activities of this tawaf, all things become allowable for the (Sunni) Hajj pilgrim who made this trip with cheap Umrah Packages, even sexual involvement is now allowed. The Imamiyyah, who disagree, say that sexual activities are not granted before conducting the sa’ey, between Safa and Marwah, followed by a second tawaf, which they call `tawaf al-nisa'.'

Tawaf al-Wada

Tawaf al-Wada or the Farewell tawaf is the last of the tawaf's that is conducted by the Hujjaj before leaving the holy city of Makkah.

For the last time, the pilgrim circulates the Kaaba and prays two prayers and visits the Zamzam. After that the pilgrim goes into the Al-Multazam and makes an appeal to Allah and starts praising, glorifying and saluting the prophet and ends the holy act.
